Chris Coady is a producer and mixer who lives and works in Los Angeles. I was introduced to Chris by our mutual friend Vanessa at a show last fall and shortly afterward realized he’d worked on some of my favorite albums, many of which are modern classics. He’s worked with artists such as Beach House, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Grizzly Bear, Amen Dunes… The list goes on. Chris’s unbelievable work ethic (he’s worked on over 400 albums) and discipline as an artist were very moving to me, and I was happy for the chance to talk with him more in-depth about his path as a producer, how he manages his day-to-day and what’s next on the horizon for him.
